Small twin room with a private toilet (shared shower) in Malahide Guest Rooms

Exceptional experience! Positive: When we arrive, Tia, the lady in charge, welcomed us with warmth and care. She went above and beyond to attend to all of our needs and even keep a contact number for enquiries after hours. The place is beautiful and cozy and the environment made my family feel at home and safe. The area is really beautiful, and family friendly and my kids (7 and 5) got to enjoy next to Malahide castle, one of the biggest playgrounds in all of Ireland. This was recommended by Tia aswell. It was an amazing experience, the facilities are practical and convenient and they have unlimited water, tea and coffee for the guests. It was truly a pleasure to stay at this charming hotel and I will highly recommend to my friends and family. Negative: Our only problem was that we didn't have a car so that we had to walk to the beach, which is quite far if you go with kids. Also, restaurants might need reservation, we didn't get to enjoy them because of that. Other than that, the beach was beautiful and the people very friendly.

10/10! Positive: Absolutely beautiful accommodations, lovely staff. Very spacious and relaxing common areas. Location was great for walking around the town. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Ireland.

Cute and cozy seaside stay ... Positive: Cute place, good location ... I booked for one night only as I had an early flight from Dublin Airport and didn't want to spend the last day in Dublin. I was coming from a week in Belfast and wanted to spend a bit of time by the sea. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the taxi service was prompt. My room was very small and the beds were tiny (twin beds) but bath robes were provided as well as tea/coffee and bottled water. There was a small WC with a toilet and sink and a side table with a lamp. There was also free private wifi provided with my room. Negative: During booking I wasn't aware that my shower was not located within my bedroom WC. The room I booked has a shared shower with another room. This was no big deal for one night but there were no lights outside and all the doors were locked to enter the main part of the building, or kitchen and dining area where the bathroom with shower is located. It was a bit unsettling as a woman to be outside alone at night in a bath robe fumbling with keys to open doors. It's also a bit inconvenient with wet hair as I was hoping not to catch a draft. Since I was in Malahide, however, and not a more urban area this was not a huge problem, but I would recommend that management add motion sensor lights outside or provide guests with torches (flashlights) to help make their stay a bit more convenient. I would also recommend providing additional blankets and softer pillows for a more pleasant stay.
